Today I am introducing 3 tools that are all about helping you to get your business started and making your business or website better.
Communication and getting feedback is a huge topic today. I’m showing you a few tools that I found to be very useful, but still fly somewhat under the radar.
PickFu is a tool that I personally believe will be a game changer. PickFu organizes unbiased feedback, from a very diverse range of people to aid you with your project ideas.
It was made to help people get real feedback from customers or users about their business ideas, logos, book titles, designs, or anything else that needs unbiased feedback.
• Need to validate an idea?
• Need feedback about your book title?
• Need to test drive marketing copy in front of a diverse population?
- High quality users that give feedback
- Speed, which allows results to be delivered within 15 minutes, as well as quick reiterations and follow-up tests
- Low cost
- Simplicity of setting up a PickFu poll
- Highly diverse range of people providing feedback
However, if you are on the lookout for a scientific poll or perfect random sampling of the general public, PickFu is not the right tool for you. A perfect representative poll easily costs a thousand dollars. But for most businesses or projects, PickFu offers a very valuable service. It will provide feedback and insight from unbiased groups, with similar demographics.
Setting up a poll with PickFu only takes a few minutes, and getting back the survey results will take less than 15 minutes. Prices for a single poll start at $20.
Tawk.to is a chat plugin for your website.
Now, there are a few chat plugins out there, but Tawk.to is different from the rest.
It is a rare application that offers an incredible set of features. It is nicely designed and totally free. – How does that work? Tawk.to states on its website that they generate revenue by providing live answering services for a selected group of customers and thus can offer the plugin for free.
Looking for a messaging application with a superb set of features that will deepen communication with your visitors? That is what you can expect from Tawk.to:
- Monitor website visitors in real time
- Proactively engage visitors with triggers
- Answer chats from a mobile device
- Advanced customization options to customize your visitor widget to suit your site
- Desktop application to respond to chats outside of the browser
- Works on a wide selection of website systems (e.g., WordPress, Weebly, Wix, Drupal, Joomla, Magento, Opencart, osCommerce, Shopify, Squarespace and more)
“Stop guessing what your visitors want.
– Google Analytics tells you what, Inspectlet tells you why.”
This is a service that tracks user activity on your website. It analyzes web and user experiences to make sure that users are actually seeing and using your site as you intended.
For its analysis, Inspectlet uses heat maps. Heat maps is a method, which studies the behavior of humans. By measuring the consumers engagement with a product, it shows how focused the attention of a consumer is towards a brand, a certain part of a website, (articles, offerings, opt-ins), or the full website.
– How does it work?
Inspectlet records videos of your visitors as they use your site.
You can then log into your account and playback all the videos that have been recorded.
I am occasionally using this, and I found it to be a really interesting experience. At first, it feels a little sneaky, but it is actually quite interesting to see where people stop, or what they get distracted by.
From observing your potential customers, you gain priceless information. You get to see what they are looking for, and how they are using your site.
After a certain amount of time, you may be able to discover what gets their attention, identify a pattern, and better understand your visitors mindset. When making the right adjustments, you may be able to increase your conversion rates.
The purpose of Inspectlet is somewhat similar to PickFu: gaining feedback.
With Inspectlet, you get insights and feedback that would be difficult to articulate in any survey.
In regards to its pricing model, I have to say that Inspectlet is very generous with its offerings. There is a free plan for life, with no credit card required upon registration. With this free plan you can have one website monitored with 100 recorded sessions per month. There is also a selection of paid plans that come as a one-time license or subscription, starting at $39 per month.
What are your experiences with these tools? Do you know of other tools that would help businesses improving the feedback loops? Please share with us in the comments below!
